Introducing MariJahne.
MariJahne is a performer and instructor of Middle Eastern dance. For more than twenty years this has been her love and her passion.
She discovered the dance with local Instructor, Aisha (Lakeland, FL). and then Solome’ (1982 Lakeland FL) Her natural ability coupled with her true passion for this art form lead to Solome’s request that MariJahne’ assume the classes and become the instructor for Lakeland Recreational Center (1986) later to be known as KELLY REC.. She taught for the City of Lakeland for the next eighteen years, during which time she created, organized and directed the Arabian Knight’s Fantasy Dance Troupe. Under her guidance and direction the Troupe’ became well known throughout the FL Belly Dance Community and danced regularly at Festival on the Nile (Orlando FL bi-annual event), at local community festivals sponsored by the City of Lakeland, the FL State Fair (as ‘guests’ of Troupe Zahara) Oasis Dance Camp (Jeckle Is. GA & St Augustine,FL).
Her passion and love for this dance form has lead her to continued education (via classes, workshops, video and any other available media) with respected Middle Eastern instructors and performers such as Morrocco (cabaret), Dalia Corella (gypsy), Cassandra (cabaret& folkloric) Mesmera (cabaret & gypsy), Jim Boz (cabaret), Fredrique (tribal fusion), Suhaila Salimpour (cabaret/Belly Dance Super stars), Jameela (African/Cabaret fusion), Paulette Reese (tribal/ Gypsy Caravan) Katia (folkloric) Lisa Myers (tribal) and many, many others.
 Currently concentrating on Tribal and Tribal fusion MariJahne has had the wonderful opportunity to join with and occasionally dance with Troupe Zahara of Central FL.
